What is the BHIM App Referral Scheme?

To boost usage of the BHIM or Bharat Interface for Money app, Prime Minister on April 14 introduced the referral scheme that shall enable the person referring and explaining its usage to another person earn money. The new user who will then register on the app will also become eligible for the referral reward as a bonus amount.

BHIM App Referral Scheme works like this; let us say you are referring the BHIM app to one of your friend in such a case she has to use your registered mobile number on the BHIM app as referral code for downloading the app on her mobile. And for you to earn referral bonus she needs to complete a minimum of three financial transactions of a minimum amount of Rs.50. Note that the new user needs to use the referral code only once for the financial transaction.

For every person the BHIM app user refers, he is entitled to a referral bonus of Rs 10 provided that the referred person finishes off with the complete process i.e. makes 3 unique financial transactions. The amount in lieu of the same gets credited to your account within 5 days as and when the new user is done with the third transaction. Also, on becoming eligible for any bonus amount you receive a notification under the Rewards tab of the app.

Simultaneously, the newly registered user on the BHIM app receives a bonus of Rs. 25. Note that there is no limit with regard to the number of people you can refer i.e you can share your referral code i.e. your registered mobile number on the BHIM app with as people as you can. It is suggested that an individual can make upto Rs. 25,000 as referral bonus.

On similar lines, Narendra Modi also introduced cashback scheme and from it the users can earn a maximum of Rs. 300 in a month. The scheme exclusively caters merchants.
