1983 - The Company was originally incorporated as utility builders
(India) Pvt. Ltd. on 29th December. It was converted into a
public limited company on 16th July 1985. It was promoted by
Naresh Khallar. The Company is engaged in the business of real
estate promoters and development, construction of high rise
multistoried buildings etc.
1992 - The name of the company was changed to Ansal Buildwell Ltd.
effective from 24th November.
- A new multistoried residential project 'Casa Ansal' having a
turnover of Rs 15 crores was launched in Bangalore. Another two
projects Ansal Gardens and Garden Mausoon II were launched.
1995 - 17,50,000 No. of equity shares of Rs 10 each subscribed and paid
up. 26,25,000 Rights equity shares issued at a prem. of Rs 10
per share in prop. 3:2 during December 1993. (only 25,16,847
shares taken up). 32,08,350 No. of equity shares were issued at
a prem. of Rs 12.50 per share through the prospectus. Of which
3,30,000 shares reserved and allotted to promoters, directors
etc. Of the remaining the following were reserved for allotment
on a preferential basis: (i) 15,600 shares to employees (only
8,200 shares taken up). (2) 3,00,000 shares to NRIs on
repatriation basis (only 43,200 shares taken up). (3) 3,00,000
shares to shareholders of group companies (all were taken)
(4) 3,00,000 shares to Mutual Funds/Financial Institution (only
1,00,000 shares taken up). Balance 19,62,750 shares along with
4,64,200 shares not taken up. Under Pref. quota was issued to
the public (only 23,81,400 shares taken up).
1997 - Possession of over 150 build up units were offered to buyers at
ADHARSHILA and ANANDVATIKA.
