S. V. Electricals Limited (SVEL) was originally incorporated as a private limited company on 05/08/1980 with the Registrar of Companies, Madhya Pradesh at Gwalior. The Company was converted into a public limited company by a resolution passed by the members of the Company at their Extra Ordinary General Meeting held on 29/09/1993 and the
certificate for change in name in this respect was issued by the Registrar of Companies, Madhya Pradesh at Gwalior on 21/10/ 1993. SVEL is an existing and profit making company, promoted by Mr M. Sundareswaran and Mr. Girish Nair. SVEL is engaged in the manufacture of Aluminium Lamp Caps and Tunsten Filaments used in General Lighting Service (GLS) Lamps. The excellent quality of the product has kept
SVEL at the top of the list of suppliers of its customers. The existing list of clients includes Philips India, Sylvania Laxman, Surya Roshni, H.M.T., Mysore Lamp Works, Wipro Lightings, Andhra Pradesh Lightings and Premier Electricals. SVEL proposes to expand its manufacturing
facilities for GLS Lamp Caps by setting up a unit for the manufacture of 200 million pcs per annum.

MAIN OBJECTS OF THE COMPANY
The main objects of the Company, as set out in the Memorandum of Association of the Company, inter-alia, include the following:
1. To acquire and takeover as going concern the businesses now carried on in the name and style of M/s. S.V. Industries with all its assets and liabilities and with a view to enter into an agreement and to carry on the same into effect with or without modifications after
incorporation.

2. To manufacture Electric Lamps, Bulbs lamp Components, Wire appliance and other articles and things which consume, generate, distribute or supply electric energy, to manufacture and deal in all kinds of appratus or articles which are required capable of being used in connection with
the generation, accumulation, distribution, consumption, employment, display and supply of electric energy.

3. To initiate, organise and to carry on the function, operation business of electricians, electrical engineers and manufacturing of all kinds of heavy and light electrical machinery and electrical appratus for any purpose whatsoever and to manufacture, instal, sell, and
contract for the supply of accumulators, wire, lamps, meters, engines, dymanos batteries, telephonic or telegraphic appratus of any kind and manufactures of and suppliers of scientific instruments of any kind.

4. To set up chemical plants and machinery to produce, manufacture, refine, treat, cure, process, prepare, import, export, purchase, sell and generally deal in all kinds of alumina, ferric, non-ferric aluminium, potash alum. activated alumina, sulphuric acid, sodium aluminate, sodium aluminates, sodium sulphate, nickle sulphate, nickle
catalyst, titanium dioxide, barrium chemicals, copper sulphate, boric acid, chromic acid, hydroquinone, basic chromic sodium sulphide iron sulphate, aluminium stearate, magnesium sulphate and any other byproducts and for the manufacture of any other mineral which may be obtained.

PRESENT BUSINESS
SVEL is currently engaged in the business of manufacturing of Aluminium Lamp Caps and Tungsten Filaments used in GLS Lamps. The Lamp Caps at SVEL are made as per IS Standard 9900 (Part-111) 1981 (B22) and IS 9206-1979 (Edison Screw Caps). The IS Standard is within the IEC (International Electro-Technical Commission, Geneva) Standard. Therefore, the quality of Lamp Caps manufactured by SV is accepted in
both domestic and International Markets.

2001 - Vasudeo Securities Private Ltd. has acquired further shares in the company.
