Orbit Exports Limited was originally incorporated in the State of Maharashtra on 16th September, 1983 in the name and style of Orbit Exports Private Limited. It was subsequently changed to a Public Limited Company under section 31/44 of the companies Act 1956 and the Company obtained fresh certificate of Incorporation dated 30th September, 1994 confirming the conversion of the Company from private limited to public limited Company.

The Registered office of the company is located at Divya Darshan, Ground Floor, 32, 2nd, Fofalwadi, Bhuleshwar, Kalbadevi Road, Bombay 400002.

The Company is engaged in the manufacture and trading of Jacquard fabrics and Velour de Lyons (Fine Velvets) which are used for dress material, drapery & trimmings. The Company first set up a sophisticated plant in 1986 with Italian Vamatex Looms and Staubil jacquards to make
fancy jacquard fabrics. After the tremendous success of this unit a second unit was set up in 1993-94 with Japanese Looms and French and Wast German equipment to manufacture "Velour de Lyons" (Fine Velvets). The Company's range of products is augmented by sourcing complimentary
cheaper fabrics on a job work basis. The Company is the sole buying agent for woven and knitted menswear and leather garments for M/s. Casket Plc a GBP 100 Million turnover leading garment importer in U.K. The Company also acts as buying agents and exporters to Savile Row
trading Co., Hawkshead and Mc Bride Fashions in U.K. The company is in the process of expanding its activity in North America Australia & Europe.

1995

-Initial Public Offering (IPO).

2004

-Taken over by the new management under the promotership of Mr. Pankaj Seth and Mrs. Anisha Seth.

2007

-The company has issued rights in the ratio of 1:1 at a premium of Rs.0/- Per Share.

2008

- The Company had made a Preferential Issue of 3,50,000 Equity Shares and 40,00,000 Warrants issued at a issue Price of Rs. 32.15 per Warrant.

2010

- Company's Surat Plant at Kosamba has become fully operational and its full impact on top line and bottom line will be reflected in the 4th quarter of the current financial year.

- The Company has been successful in procuring orders for the production of its Surat Plant from well known brands from international markets. The new products find usage for bridal and evening wear market in the US.

2011
-Registered Office of the Company has been shifted From 11 -Mehta Chambers, Kalyan Street, P.D'mello Road, Masjid Bunder Road (E), Mumbai - 400 009, To E 27-29, Adi Marzaben Street (Manglore Street), Ballard Estate, S. Bhagat Singh Road, Mumbai - 400 038.

2012

- The Board of Directors of the Company, has decided to declare Interim Dividend for the year @ 25% i.e. Rs. 2.50 per share on 78,90,660 Equity Shares of Rs. 10/- each amounting to Rs. 1,97,26,650/-.

-Orbit Exports has given the Bonus in the Ratio of 1:2
2013

-The Company has imported and installed 24 new Itema Airjet Looms at Fairdeal Textile Park, Village Mahuvej, Tal: Mangrol, Dist: Surat. The Commercial Production of fabrics has commenced w.e.f. June 25, 2013.

2014
The Company has decided to appointment of Mr. Pardeep Khosla as an Additional Director of the Company w.e.f. July 18, 2014

2015
-Commencement of production of 14 new Jacquard Looms at Kosamba, Surat
-Orbit Exports Limited features in Forbes AsiaÂs ÂBest under a BillionÂ list

2016
-Registered Office of the Company is shifted from:-"E 27-29, Adi Marzaben Street (Manglore Street), Ballard Estate, S. Bhagat Singh Road, Mumbai - 400 038 to 122, 2nd Floor, Mistry Bhavan, Dinshaw Wachha Road, Churchgate, Mumbai - 400020."

2017

-Company has issued Bonus Shares in the Ratio of 1:1.

2021

-Set up a new Process and Dying unit at Valsad, Gujarat.
