YEAR EVENTS
1936 - The Company was incorporated at Rajapalayam. It's main object
and activities include the manufacture of cotton textile and
cotton yarn of 20's to 80's counts.

1948 - 5,381 Bonus equity shares issued in the propn. 1:1.

1958 - 5,281 Bonus equity shares issued in the propn. 1:2.

1966 - Effective 1st April, Jayaram Mills Ltd. was amalgamated with the
company. Pursuant to the scheme of amalgamation 750 No. of
equity shares of the company were allotted to the shareholders of
erstwhile Jayaram Mills Ltd. in the ratio of six equity shares of
erstwhile Jayaram Mills Ltd. for every one equity share of the
Company.

1967 - 10,762 bonus shares issued in propn. 2:3.

1976 - 16,143 bonus shares issued in propn. 3:5.

1980 - 43,048 bonus shares issued in propn. 1:1.

1985 - 4 nos. L.R. high production cards model `Christallina' type C
1/2A, 2 nos. L.R. high speed combers model E 1/4 and 1 no.
Lakshmi speed frame model L.F. 1400 were added.

1986 - Major additions were 20 nos. `Kayar' double swift reeling
machines, 2 nos. `TEXTOOL DRT' double winder of 120 hukelite
drums, 3 nos. Retex dry doublers of 400 spindler each, 1 no.
Keyar heavy duty bundling press, 1 nos. texmag cone winder of
120 spindles, 1 no. Skoda 860 KVA diesel generator and 1 no. L.R.
high speed comber model E 7/4.

- As a part of the expansion programme, the Company installed 3
nos. Lakshmi Rieter high speed ring frames Model DJ/5 of 432
spindles each and 4 nos. Lakshmi Rieter high speed ring frames
Model DJ/5 of 448 spindles each.

1987 - Under the modernisation scheme, the Company installed one line
Lakshmi Rieter blow room, 4 nos. Lakshmi Rieter High production
cards, Christallina Type C 1/3, 1 no. of each Lakshmi Rieter draw
frame Models DO/6 and DO/2s, 1 no. Lakshmi Rieter open end
spinning machine Model M 1/2 with 168 rotar, 1 each of Lakshmi
Rieter combers, 4 nos. doubling machine and 18 nos. Keyar double
swift reeling machine.

- Under the expansion programme one Lakshmi Rieter open end
spinning machine of 168 rotors was installed.

- 51,658 bonus shares issued in propn. 3:5.

1988 - Under the modernisation programme, the Company installed 2 nos.
L.R. High production cards `Christallina' type C 1/3, 4 nos.
Premier Cards Control autolevellers, 2 nos. L. R. open end
spinning machines model M 1/2 with 168 Rotors each;
humidification plant and electrical accessories were installed.

1989 - Under the modernisation scheme, the Company imported and
installed one scalafhorst automatic cone winder model 238, 4 nos.
L.R. high production cards, 1 nos. L.R. draw frame model DO/6, 1
no. open end spinning frame model M 1/2 with 168 Rotors, 4 nos.
Veejay - Lakshmi two for one twister and 4 nos. Premier card
control 2 auto leveller computers.

1991 - The Company's 100% export Oriented Spinning Mill named as
"Rajapalayam Spintex" was commissioned as per schedule in March,
with 6000 spindles. Additional license for installation of
15,000 spindles was received from the textile commissioner.

1993 - The Company installed 3 nos. 250 KW wind world make electric
generators in Muppandal, near Nagercoil. These were commissioned
in March 1994 and were connected to the Tamil Nadu Electricity
Board grid.

1994 - Govt. of India gave its approval for starting a 100% EOU for
exports to M/s. Unitika Ltd., Japan.

- 137,646 shares issued.

1995 - 103 shares issued.

1996 - The Company installed 1 No. Savio Auto Coner 1 No. Speed Frame, 4
Nos. Doubling Frames, 1 No. Doubler Winder, 2 Nos. 1250 KVA
Generators.

- As a part of the diversification plans, the Company undertook to
set up a Tissue Culture Unit under the name and style of Shri
Ramco Biotech as a division of the existing company for
production of ornamental and orchard plants for exports and other
domestic markets.

- 5 shares issued. 750 shares issued to the shareholders of
erstwhile Jayaram Mills Ltd.

2008

-Rajapalayam Mills Ltd has appointed Mr. A V Dharmakrishnan to co-opt as Additional Director till the end of next Annual General Meeting.

2011

- Company have acquired the entire 60,00,000 Equity Shares of RSPL from the Shareholders of RSPL.

- Has allotted 3,51,000 Equity Shares of Rs.10/- each @ Rs.234/- per Share to Shri. P R Ramasubrahmaneya Rajha, Chairman on Preferential basis.

-Rajapalayam Mills has given the Bonus in the Ratio of 1:1

2012

- The merger of the CompanyÂs wholly owned subsidiary namely M/s. Rajapalayam Spinners Limited with its holding Company Rajapalayam Mills Ltd.

2013

-Rajapalayam Mills Ltd has amalgamated with wholly owned subsidiary M/s. Rajapalayam Spinners Limited (RSL).

-Shri V. Santhana Raman has been appointed as a Additional Director of the company.

2014

-Shri K B Nagendra Murthy has been appointed as a Additional Director of the company.

-Board recommended has a Final Dividend of Rs.7.50per share.

2022

-The company issued rights shares of Rs. 10 in the ratio of 1:14 at a premium of Rs. 559 per share.
