1890 - The Company was incorporated as a Public Limited Company on June
21st, at Calcutta. The Company owns four Gardens, viz.,
Bandasulia, Keramia, Titabur and Hatipura in Assam.
1938 - Rs 100 face value shares subdivided into Rs 10 face value shares.
12,000 shares of Rs 10 each issued to the shareholders of Titabur
Tea Co., Ltd., (on its amalgamation with the Company) in the
prop. 2 Tyroon shares: 3 Titabur shares.
1993 - 1,04,000 bonus equity shares issued in prop. 2:1.
1994 - 10,92,000 bonus equity shares issued in prop. 7:1.
1995 - During February, the Company issued 9,36,000 No. of equity shares
of Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 30 per share on Rights basis in
- Another 14,50,500 No. of equity shares were offered at a premium
of Rs 30 per share through a prospectus as follows: (i) On firm
allotment basis: (a) 2,62,500 shares to Indian Mutual Funds;
(b) 2,35,000 shares to Financial Institution/bonds. (ii) On
preferential allotment basis: (a) 27,600 shares to Indian Mutual
Funds; (b) 55,100 shares to Ind. Fin. Institutions/banks. (None
were taken up).
- Balance 8,70,300 shares along with unsubscribed portion of 55,100
shares of preferential quota was issued to the public.
2003-Delist the shares from Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Madras Stock Exchanges.
-Tyroon Tea Company Ltd has appointed Mr. Chandrashekhar Nath Tripathi as an Additional Director of the Company with effect from May 08, 2007.
