Vitan Agro Industries Limited was incorporated on 2nd June,1987, under the Companies Act, 1956 as M/s Chokhani Chain Stores and Investments Limited and subsequently was issued the Certificate of Commencement of Business on 7th July, 1987, M/s Chokhani Chain Stores and Investments Limited thereafter changed its name to M/s Vitan Departmental Stores and Industries Limited on 10th May, 1995.Subsequently the Company in the Extra Ordinary General Meeting held on 23rd December, 2013 has approved the change of the name of the Company from M/s Vitan Departmental Stores and Industries Limited to M/s Vitan Agro Industries Limited.The Company received Fresh Certificate of Incorporation with new name "M/s Vitan Agro Industries Limited" vide Certificate dated 17th January,2014.

2000-2001

Shifting of registered office from "16, Whites Road, Chennai-600 014" to "21,Spurtank Road, Chennai-600 031"

2013-2014

The Company at its Board Meeting held on 14th December, 2013, forfeited 1,71,500 Equity Shares, for non-Payment of Call money.The Company at its Board Meeting held on 14th November, 2013 passed resolution to shift its registered office from"21, Spurtank Road, Chennai- 600 031" to "B2, Sindur Pantheon Plaza, n0.346, Pantheon Road, Egmore Chennai-600008" with effect from 19th December, 2013.

The Registrar of Companies, Chennai issued a Fresh Certificate of Incorporation consequent upon Change in the name of the Company from "Vitan Departmental Stores and Industries Limited" to "Vitan Agro Industries Limited" with effect from 17th January, 2014.The Board of Director at its meeting held on 14th February,2014, passed resolution effecting allotment of 40,10,00 Equity, Shares of Rs. 10/- each issued at a Premium of Rs 5/- each.
