TCS to hire around 6,000 people
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., the country's largest software maker, announced that it is expecting to hire 10 per cent of the total 60,000 people it is planning to recruit, from abroad. 

Commenting on the occasion, TCS Global HR Head,Ajoyendra Mukherjee, reported, "The overseas hiring will be similar to the 10% which we have done earlier." He added that the group has not chalked out a detailed plan for recruitment process from abroad, but will soon come up with it.

It is reported that the company recruits people from abroad on the basis merit as per the job requirements, which includes understanding of the local language as it is the necessary for certain projects in Latin America. The non-Indians comprise of 6.95 per cent of the company's total employee count of more than 1.98 lakh.

Meanwhile, Mukherjee reported that the company has never faced any compulsion regarding the local employee composition requirement in any of the countries that it operates in.

However, there are talks regarding the 50:50 rule in the US, but till now no regulation has been made.
