Guar gum up 2.54% on weak arrivals
On 2nd May 2011, at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited, the prices of guar gum for the May month contracts increased by around 2.54 per cent to reach Rs 8,968 per quintal.

The total traded quantity of the commodity stood at 11,245 lots representing Rs 10.08 crore in value terms. Similarly, the prices of guar gum for the June month contracts increased by around 2.41 per cent to reach Rs 9,165 per quintal.

The total traded quantity of the commodity for the June month contract stood at 10,390 lots representing Rs 9.52 crores in value terms. Weak arrival of the commodity in the spot market was the primary reason behind the increase in its prices.
