Guar gum up 4.01% on weak arrivals
On 3rd May 2011, at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited, the prices of guar gum for the August month contracts increased by around 4.01 per cent to reach Rs. 9,604 per quintal. The total traded quantity of the commodity stood at 105 lots representing Rs. 10 lakh in value terms.

Similarly, the prices of guar gum for the September month contracts increased by around 3.01 per cent to reach Rs. 9,659 per quintal. The total traded quantity of the commodity for the September month contract stood at 10 lots representing Rs 1 lakh in value terms. Weak arrival of the commodity in the spot market was the primary reason behind the increase in its prices.
