HCC awarded Rs 298 cr contract
Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. (HCC) which is one of the leading Engineering and Construction firms of the country informed today that it has been successful enough in getting Limbdi Branch Canal contract worth Rs. 298.63 crore.

The contract has been to the company given by Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited located in Gujarat. HCC further stated that with the commencement of the canal work, the irrigational benefits will witness an expansion to 2.71 lakh acres of land spread across 189 villages.

These villages belong to 11 talukas located in Gujarat in Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad and Surendranagar districts. In accordance with the contract, HCC will be looking after the construction of canal earthwork, structures, service roads of distributaries and minors of canal and lining.

Apart from all this HCC will also be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the canal for next five years. The company also said that it will take almost one and a half years for the completion of the canal.
