Andhra pipeline proposals may be put up for bidding
After opposing Andhra Pradesh Gas Infrastructure Corporation's (APGIC's) proposal to build a pipeline from Kakinada to Srikakulam, state-run gas transportation major, GAIL has reversed its move and has proposed APGIC to jointly construct gas pipelines.

However, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), following a three-way dispute among Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), GAIL Ltd, AP Gas Infrastructure (APGIC) is likely to bid out the authorization of the controversial Andhra pipeline.

Prior to GAIL, Indian private oil and gas major, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) had also opposed the proposal of APGIC to build another gas pipeline from Ennore to Nellore and it stands firm on it.
