Consulting and system integration, network roll-out, customer support, learning and managed services are listed under the Ericsson"s Global Services portfolio. Additionally, services like mobile and fixed network infrastructure, telecom services, software, broadband and multimedia solutions for operators, enterprises and the media industry are some of the other services that can are comprised in the company"s portfolio.
According to the company's Senior Vice-President and Head of Global Services Magnus Mandersson, India stands to be a very important market for Ericsson. Therefore, if the growth continues to sustain, the company would be hiring around 1,500 people by the end of December this year.
Company shows a keen interested in hiring Indian as it believes that the talent pool in India is good, which would help the company to serve its customer globally through the Indian centre, added Mandersson. Besides India, Ericsson have its global delivery in Romania, China and Mexico. They all consist of more than 45,000 people.
Mandersson, happy with the Indian market, further says that the company is finding a good market in India, therefore, it is highly focused on Indian market. Additionally, with the introduction of 3G and with operators demanding smarter solutions, it is important for the company to keep upgrades happening at its end.
Ericsson, besides being a leading provider of technology and services to telecom operators, also provides 2G, 3G and 4G mobile technologies. With over 2 billion subscribers who are provided support for networks by Ericsson, the company has attained a leading position in managed services.
