Refined soya oil continued to rise on firm spot demand
The price of refined soya oil futures on Wednesday remained firm in the domestic market on the back of pick-up in spot demand due to on-going marriage season in India. Refined soya oil future for May contract advanced as much as 0.34 per cent to Rs. 618.45 per 10 kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).

Moreover, fall in supplies from overseas market, and sustained buying in the domestic as well as international market supported the futures prices.

At MCX, refined soya oil future for May contract closed at Rs. 617.75 per 10 kgs, up by 0.23 per cent, after opening at Rs. 617.80 against the previous closing price of Rs. 616.35. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 618.45 with a business volume of 4 lots.
