Unilever had declared that the company would need four to five years of growth to match with its rivals such as Procter & Gamble and Nestle. The declaration was given to a Dutch paper by the chief executive officer of the Anglo-Dutch consumer products group.
Admitting the declaration, CEO Paul Polman further quoted that in order to become one of the biggest companies again, the company would need to have a constant growth over the next five years. Polman also mentioned that the growth could be attained through the change in culture.
However, the company wishes to double its sales in the long run.
