Chana rises on account of spot demand
Yesterday, the prices of chana for the June contract rose by Rs 26, or 1.06% to Rs 2,480 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,77,760 lots at the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) since the traders enlarged their holdings tracking the steady holdings on account of the steady spot markets trend.

The chana for the May contract gained Rs 17, or 0.72% to Rs 2,394 per quintal, with a business volume of 58,360 lots at the NCDEX.

Moreover, the reduced supply from the growing belts also supported the prices of the chana.
