Barley rises due to fresh buying activity

Yesterday, the prices of barley for the June contract moved up by Rs 7.40, or 0.54% to Rs 1,386 per quintal, with an open interest of 10,000 lots at the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) since fresh holdings were created by the traders tracking the steady trend at the spot markets.

The barley for the July contract went up by Rs 7.80, or 0.56% to Rs 1,395 per quintal, with an open interest of 3,040 lots at the NCDEX.

Moreover, the reduced arrivals also supported the prices of the barley.
