Maruti Suzuki cautions job seekers against fraudulent mails in co's name
Cautioning the ignorant job seekers about the fraudulent interview mails sent in the name of Maruti Suzuki India ltd (MSI) demanding cash deposits, the company has issued a warning claiming such mails to be absolutely fake. The company further clarified that these mails were send by fraudsters who are illegally using the company's registered trademark and the names of company officials.
“Fraudulent email communications are being sent by some people for job interviews/offers in Maruti Suzuki... They wrongfully use the company's registered trademark and the names of company officials, to cheat innocent members of the public," said the company denying issuing of any such mails or job opportunities.
These mails describe an attractive in-hand salary package and lucrative additional facilities to lure the job seekers. Besides, these mails also promise a guaranteed employment within a fixed time period against the deposit of a fee. This amount is described as the recruitment fees that the companies' charge while initiating the recruitment process with the individual.
“The company has not authorized any person to require any payment/cash deposit to be made by any candidate to our company and/or to any individuals in the recruitment process," MSIL added.
The worst part is that they try to fool people and look realistic by using the title of the original company heads and officials. They also appear realistic in terms of the email ids and website for contact that are provided in the mail.
However, this is not for the first time that any company has released such warnings and notifications. Fraudulent mails offering job opportunities in the name of big and renowned companies have been a practice since a quite long time. The fraudsters use illegal means to hack and copy the companies' trademark and name of officials to make the mails look real.
Such mails are purely intended to play with the sentiments of the job seekers anxiously seeking for jobs, who consequently, get trapped in the fraud.
