FM to attend G-20 Finance Ministers' Meet
Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, left for a three day visit to Paris on October 13, 2011 to attend G-20 Finance Ministers' and Central Bank Governors' Meeting which would be held on 14th and 15th of October.

It is believed that the issues like exchange of information among different nations to raise a voice against black money and terror financing would be discussed in the meeting.

As tax evasion has become a major issue for the world economy, Pranab Mukherjee, plans to convince the G-20 member countries to indulge in exchange of information regarding tax on a voluntary basis, comprising of exchange of past banking information.

“The issue of global economy and framework for strong, sustainable and balanced growth, reforms of International Monetary System (IMS), Financial Regulations are to be discussed during the aforesaid two day conference of G-20 Finance Ministers," the release said.

Further, the minister would also conduct bilateral meetings with countries like France, Australia and UK among others.
