Sensex recoups, wipes off early losses
During closing bell, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex was down by 0.41% or 68.87 points at 16,813.98, recovered from its day's lows of 16,641.65.
On the other side, the NSE Nifty also managed to reach above the level of 5,000. During closing point, it was seen down by 0.19% or 5.85 points at 5,062.65 after covering partial losses.
On the sectoral front on BSE, the sectors ended in red weighed more with CG (3.84%), Power (1.79%), Oil & Gas (0.89%), HealthCare (0.81%), were among the major losers.
The sectors which were under the green zone were FMCG, Consumer Durables, Realty and Metal, added 0.86%, 0.53%, 0.34% and 0.24%, respectively.
On NSE, the companies gained were Jindal Steel, Tata Steel, SBI, DLF & M&M, all added gains of 2.92%, 2.75%, 2.72%, 2.63% and 2.11%, respectively.
While the day's losers were SAIL (5.40%), BPCL (4.42%), Siemens (4.27%), GAIL (3.62%) and HCLTech (3.35%).
