Rupee slips against euro
The Indian rupee fell against euro on Friday as euro surged as traders covered short positions and booked profits after its recent drop to a five-week low. Rupee futures for November 2011 contract fell as much as 0.58 paise at Rs. 69.3550 per euro on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 11.53am.

At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), EURUSD future for December 2011 contract traded at US$1.3480 per euro (USD depreciated by 0.11 per cent against EUR) and GBPUSD future for December 2011 contract traded at US$1.5763 per pound (USD depreciated by 0.07 per cent against GBP) at 11.57 AM today.

S&P CNX NIFTY, at NSE, traded at 4,865.60, down by 1.40 per cent, after opening at 4,899.15 against the previous closing of 4,934.75. It touched the intra-day low of 4,847.50 till the trading. (At 11.49 AM today).

At NSE, EURINR for November 2011 contract traded at Rs. 69.3550 per euro, rupee depreciated 0.58 paise against euro, after opening at Rs. 68.9950 against the previous closing price of Rs. 68.7750. Rupee fell to Rs. 68.9225 with a business volume of 9626 lots till the trading (At 11.53 AM today).
