Sensex ends in red; Realty, Metal down
The Indian benchmark indices closed in red as traders preferred to book profits. Today, Sensex and Nifty sat on a wild swing, it was also seen trading above 16000 level for a short period during the day.

The 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 15,879.17 down by 91.58 points or 0.57% and NSE Nifty at 4,750.70 down by 28.30 points or 0.59%.

On Asian front, at 4.20 pm IST, the Nikkei 225 was down 38.78 points and was at 8440.56 The Shanghai composite was down by 23.76 points and was at 2,166.35

Among Sectoral indices on the BSE, All the sectors were trading in negative terrain. Except Consumer Durables which was up by 0.15%.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the top volume gainers were Rcom, Ranbaxy, Tata Power, Siemens and Ambuja Cement posted gains between 1.87% - 5.11%.

The major losers on the NSE were Axis bank., IDFC, Cipla, DLF, and Coal India.
