Sensex continues to trade lower; Realty, Metal down
Indian bourses opened negative on Wednesday and continued with their losing session following weak Asian cues. Market sentiments remained sensitive as most of the foreign investors were away from the Indian markets due to holiday season.

At 11:17 am IST, the benchmark Sensex was trading low at 15,873.95, down by 0.61% or 96.80 points. The NSE Nifty also lost 0.70% or 33.15 points to 4,717.35.

 

Stocks of Realty, Metal, Bankex, PSU, Power and Auto were among the major losers on the Bombay Stock Exchange, driving Sensex down.

 

While, the only sector seen trading under the positive zone on the BSE was Capital Goods, up by 0.15%.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Tata Power, NTPC, RPower, Infy and BHEL, were among the top gainers, gained by 1.93%, 1.34%, 0.76%, 0.57% and 0.46%, respectively.

The scrip trading negative on the NSE were Jindal Steel (3.87%), ICICI Bank (2.73%), PNB (2.73%), Axis Bank (2.05%) and BPCL (1.87%).

On the Asian front, all the markets seen trading in red, Chian's Shanghai was down by 0.93%, Japan's Nikkei 225 was down by 0.30% and Hong Kong's Hang Seng was down by 0.79%.
