Sensex rekindles in green; RIL up 1%
The Indian benchmark indices picked up and entered positive terrain with 100 points high before closing amid firm European cues.

Reliance Industries shares buyback opened today, on that note shares of the company were traded high at Rs 830 up by 14.85 points or 1.82%.

At 3.40 pm IST, the 30-share BSE Sensex was closed at 17300.58 up by 107.03 points or 0.62% and NSE Nifty was closed at 5235.70 up by 36.45 points or 0.70%.

In Asia, most of the markets were trading in mixed terrain, the Nikkei 225 up by 7.28 points and was at 8809. The Hang Seng was down by 57.12 points and was at 20,333.38. Shanghai was down by 23.93 points and was trading at 2,268.68

Among sectoral indices on BSE, most of the sectors ended positively. Metal, Capital goods, Auto, Power leading the rally.

While on the losing side, the sectors failed to lure investors were Consumer Durables, PSU, IT.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the top volume gainers were Tata Power, Jindal Steel, Tata Steel, JP Associates, Hindalco posted gains between 4.64%-6.54%.

And the loser in today trade were Coal India, BPCL, ICICI Bank, Power Grid, ITC.
