Indian markets are likely to open in green today on positive cues from foreign markets. Most of the Asian markets have opened in green on positive cues from the European and US markets. The US markets ended in green yesterday. Market sentiments in US turned positive after good earnings of companies that reported their quarterly results. The employment situation in the private sector improved as was shown by ADP employment change data. The European Markets rallied yesterday after market sentiments got a boost by satisfactory PMI Manufacturing figures and a successful debt auction from Portugal.

Disney has agreed to the price of Rs 1100 per share for the delisting of UTV. This is only a slight premium at yesterday ' 's closing price of Rs 1060.Mid size IT Company Hexaware has posted good December quarter results and its shares may see some up movement today.

Yesterday, the BSE SENSEX closed at 17300.58 up by 107.03 points or 0.62 % and the NSE Nifty closed at 5235.7 up by 36.45 points or 0.7 %. The BSE MIDCAP closed at 5937.19 up by 65.49 points or by 1.12 %. while the BSE SMLCAP closed at 6573.58 up by 110.28 points or 1.71 %. The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 17327.21 and intraday low of 17061.55 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 5244.6 and intraday low of 5159.

The net investments by FIIs on 1st February, 2012 in Indian capital markets stood at Rs 754.00 crore. The net FII investments were positive yesterday.

The gross purchases by the FIIs in the Indian equity markets were of Rs. 3459.70 crore. The gross sales were of Rs. 2814.60 crore. The net investment in the equity markets by FIIs on 1st February, 2012 stood at Rs 645.00 crore.

The gross purchases by the FIIs in the Indian debt markets were of Rs 259.20 crore. The gross sales by FIIs were of Rs 150.30 crore. The net investment by the FIIs in the debt markets stood at Rs 109.00 crore.

Today, most of the Asian markets have opened in green on positive cues from the European and US markets. At 7.40 A.M. Indian time, the Nikkei 225 was up 69.88 points and was at 8,879.67. The Hang Seng was up 260.10 points and was at 20,592.95. The Shanghai composite was up 5.72 points and was at 2,273.80.

The US markets ended in green yesterday. Market sentiments turned positive after good earnings of companies that reported their quarterly results. The employment situation in the private sector improved as was shown by ADP employment change data. The Nasdaq closed at 2848.27 gaining 34.43 points over the previous day ' 's closing. The Dow Jones Industrial gained 83.55 points and closed at 12716.46. The S & P 500 gained 11.67 points and closed at 1324.07.

The European Markets rallied yesterday after market sentiments got a boost by satisfactory PMI Manufacturing figures and a successful debt auction from Portugal. The DAX gained 157.73 points and closed at 6,616.64. The FTSE 100 gained 109.11 points and closed at 5,790.72. The CAC was up 68.91 points and closed at 3,367.46.
