Reliance Power Q3 net jumps 42% at Rs 204 cr
Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group flagship firm, Reliance Power has reported the growth of 42 per cent in net profits for third quarter ended December 31, 2011 at Rs 203.87 crore.

The company had posted the net profits of Rs 143.6 crore during the same period a year ago, said the company in its filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange on February 13, 2012.

Meanwhile, the net sales of the company rose 82 per cent during the quarter to Rs 457.2 crore as compared to Rs 251.2 crore during the year ago period. Also, the EBITDA from power generation assets rose to Rs 163 crore, reflecting an year-on-year growth of 63 per cent.

Announcing the Q3 numbers, JP Chalasani, CEO of Reliance Power said “Our 600 MW Rosa plant continues to run at high operational efficiency and financial profitability. The third 300 Mw unit at Rosa has been successfully commissioned three months ahead of PPA schedule. We are on track to become a 5,000 MW operating company by the end of 2012".

Following the results announcement on Monday, shares of the company were trading at Rs 105.40 a piece, up 0.09 per cent from previous close on BSE at 12:18 PM.
