FMCG major, Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) today reported the growth of 21 per cent in its net profits for the fourth quarter ended March 2012 at Rs 686.61 crore.
The company had posted the net profits of Rs 569.18 crore during the same period a year ago, said the company in its filing to the BSE on May 1, 2012.
Besides, the net sales of the company increased to Rs 5,660.48 crore during the three months ended March 2012 as against Rs 4,893.67 crore during the three months ended March 2011.
HUL, for the entire fiscal year ended March 2012, reported the net profits of Rs 2,800.14 crore as against Rs 2,306.63 crore a year ago.
Meanwhile, the board of the company recommended the dividend of Rs 4 per share and together with interim dividend of Rs 3.5 per share, its total dividend for the 2011-12 fiscal year stood at Rs 7.50 per share.
