Ross Levinsohn named Interim CEO of Yahoo

Yahoo Inc. has named Ross Levinsohn as interim CEO replacing Scott Thompson. Levinsohn presently oversees Yahoo’s content and advertising services and now becomes the fourth person to head Yahoo in the last eight months.
Yahoo hired Thompson, the former head of eBay’s PayPal, in January to resurrect the company from a string of bad performances. Though
Yahoo is a popular website, over the last few years the company has run into a spot of bother, facing stiff competition from the likes of Facebook and Google.
Levinsohn's rise to the post of CEO is expected to see a better performance since he has significant experience in driving sales.
