Aurobindo Pharma gets USFDA nod to launch Clopidogrel tablets

Hyderabad-based Aurobindo Pharma today, on May 18, said that it has secured final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture and market Clopidogrel tablets USP 75 mg.
Clopidogrel tablet, USP 75 Mg, is the generic version of Aventis US LLC's Plavix and falls under the cardio-vascular (CVS) therapeutic category and is indicated for the prevention of atherothrombotic events in patients who have had a myocardial infection or ischaemic stroke.
Besides, the product has been approved out of company's Hyderabad facility.
Meanwhile, shares of the company were quoting at Rs 107.20 a piece, up 0.99 per cent from previous close on BSE at 11:51 hours.
