The jury also found that Apple did not violate any of Samsung's wireless standards or feature patents.
As per reports, it is said that Apple may seek ban on some of its Samsung products, blocking them from the US market.
However, Samsung said it will appeal against the ruling.
According to AFP report "We will move immediately to file post-verdict motions to overturn this decision in this court and if we are not successful, we will appeal this decision to the Court of Appeals," Samsung said.
Also, in an earlier statement Samsung said the verdict was "a loss" for consumers and that Apple had "manipulated" the patent system.
The verdict, came sooner than expected, of some Samsung products, which might get affected. However, the implication of the judgement on sales would take time to gauge.
According to the source, the court banned sales in South Korea of Apple's iPhone 4 and iPad 2, as well as Samsung's Galaxy S and Galaxy SII among other products.
