Banking on its position as the number one domestic airline, IndiGo is looking at expanding its international flights.
In a situation where the air travelers are facing the woes of flight cancellation and delay in flights, Indigo has planned to increase the size of its fleet by adding new planes and focus on its core competencies such as on-time performance.
"My challenge is to be consistent with our goals -- on time performance and to have least number of flight cancellations," said Indigo, President Aditya Ghosh.
About the strong accounts, Ghosh clarified that Indigo requires no raising of funds and will carry out the fleet expansion in accordance to its capitalisation. "Each airline has its own compulsions. We are not looking at investors, either domestic or foreign," he said.
