Markets open flat; CG, Realty up
Asian shares were trading mixed on a cautious note. The Nikkei 225 was down by 0.08% at 9,002. The Hang Seng was up by 0.68% at 21,697. The Shanghai composite was down by 0.61% at 2,119.
At 10.00 am IST, The Sensex was trading up 8 points, while NSE was flat at 5717.
Among sectoral indices, the Consumer Goods, Realty, PSU and health Care were leading the rally. Consumer Durables, FMCG, IT and Auto were at the losing end.
Shares of the Tata Coffee rose 4.95% after the company posted Q2 consolidated net profit which rose to Rs.45.8 cr vs Rs.16.4 cr YoY.
Rain commodities shares gained 4.5% in morning trade after the report of the company buying Belgium-based coal tar pitch maker Ruetgers NV.
Shares of the Hero Motocorp lost 1.18% ahead of quarterly results.
Top gainers in morning trade were Larsen, Lupin, Cairn India and Dr Reddy's Lab. The stocks which lost grounds in morning trade were Hero Motocorp, Kotak Mahindra, ACC and Infosys.
