Bharti PAT at Rs 721 crores; meets expectations
India's largest telecom operator, Bharti Airtel has reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 721 crore, which was largely in line with expectations. BSE 318.057 (2.20%) NSE 317.705.9 (1.86%)
The sales for the second quarter came in at Rs 20,273 crore, which was also better than expected. The company's consolidated EBITDA margin stood at 39.3%.
Shares of Bharti Airtel gained more than 1% on the Bombay Stock Exchange and was trading at Rs 276 at 9.40 am IST.
