MphasiS shares drops on worries at HP
Shares of software major, MphasiS fell 2.8 per cent after majority owner Hewlett-Packard (HP) took a massive $8.8 billion writedown, after alleging a massive accounting scandal at its British software unit Autonomy.
Shares of MphasiS were last traded at Rs 386 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Earlier on Tuesday, Hewlett-Packard said it took the charge related to its acquisition of software firm Autonomy, citing "serious accounting improprieties," as it reported a fourth-quarter loss.
MphasiS delivers Applications services, Infrastructure services, and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services globally through a combination of technology knowhow, domain and process expertise.
