Kingfisher hits circuit filter on Etihad talks

Kingfisher Airlines hit the upper end of the circuit filter limit of 5%, following confirmation of reports that the company was in talks with investors including Etihad Airways.

The shares of Kingfisher Airlines was trading at Rs 16.75 with only buyers on the counter. Kingfisher Airlines has been cash strapped for several months now with the company having difficulty to pay even salaries.

Banks have been asking Vijay Mallya to sell some of the company's assets to pay of their debts. The present deal is likely to infuse fresh capital into the company.
