1 lakh LPG consumers receives DBT subsidies till June 04

According to the statement of the government, at least 100,000 consumers of cooking gas cylinders in 18 districts received the subsidy in their bank accounts till June 04.

According to the reports, Consumers who had booked an LPG (liquefied petroleum dealers a non-subsidized gas) cylinder each received a subsidy advance of Rs 435 in their accounts, while they paid the market rate.

As on 25 April, 13 per cent of the bank accounts of beneficiaries had been linked to their Aadhaar numbers in the 20 districts where the subsidy transfer scheme was to be rolled out, which has been posted online.

Further, the oil marketing companies are making renewed efforts to collect the bank account details of LPG consumers to be given to banks for seeding, said the government.
