While the market capitalisation (m-cap) of TCS, Reliance Industries and ONGC, among others, advanced, Infosys and HDFC saw a reduction in their value.
In the ranking of the top 10 Sensex companies, TCS remained at number one, followed by Reliance, ITC, ONGC, Coal India, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Bharti Airtel and HDFC, said media reports.
The m-cap of ITC spurted by Rs 18,881 crore to Rs 2,81,349 crore, emerging as the top gainer.
Bharti Airtel's valuation surged by Rs 7,415 crore to Rs 1,37,650 crore, while HDFC Banks's m-cap rose by Rs 7,136 crore to Rs 1,57,536 crore and ONGC added Rs 6,502 crore to Rs 2,48,408 crore.
The m-cap of Reliance Industries went up by Rs 3,021 crore to Rs 2,85,127 crore and TCS added Rs 528 crore to Rs 3,82,215 crore.The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex rose 2.69 per cent over the previous five sessions to end at 20,263.71, gaining for the fourth week, said the report.
