RComm Q2 net jumps over six-fold at Rs 675 cr
Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications on Tuesday posted a growth of over six-fold in net profit for the second quarter ended September 2013 at Rs 675 crore versus Rs 102 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.

The company said its bottomline during the quarter was boosted by provisional writeback of Rs 441 crore, on account of business restructuring. Excluding that provision, the net profit of the company stood at Rs 234 crore. Revenues of the company rose 12 per cent at Rs 5,835 crore against Rs 5,202 crore in the same quarter last year.

EBITDA of the company increased 15.2 per cent at Rs 1,887 crore against Rs 1,638 crore, while EBITDA margin stood at 35 per cent. RComm's revenue per minute (RPM) increased to 43.4 paise in the quarter, registering a growth of 7.7 per cent from last year.

"The total data traffic went up 116 per cent from last year. The traffic increased due to increase in data subscribers and higher data use per customer. The total data customer base has grown 30.8 per cent to 34 million, which includes 9.1 million 3G customers," RComm said in a statement.
