Shares of state-controlled mineral producer NMDC rose over 2 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after the company reported growth in production in the third quarter FY14.
The company's production grew nearly 37 per cent in Q3 FY14 at 7.3 million tonne against 5.33 million tonne in the previous corresponding period.
Buoyed by development, shares of company gained as much as 2.56 per cent to trade at Rs 139.70 a piece on the BSE.
In a similar fashion, shares of the company advanced 1.43 per cent to Rs 138.10 a piece on National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 20,765.96, up 72.72 points or 0.36 per cent at 9:40 hours.
