L&T Hydrocarbon, a company engaged in providing comprehensive design-to-build engineering and construction solutions to the oil and gas sector, secures new contracts worth Rs. 100 crore from the domestic market. Of the two contracts bagged in the offshore and onshore business divisions, the offshore contract from BG Exploration and Production India (BGEPIL) gained in the valued at Rs. 700 crore was secured against international competitive bidding.
As part of the contract, L&T hydrocarbon shall engage in total Engineering Procurement Construction as well as deployment of a wellhead platform and sub sea pipe laying (30 km) over the Panna Makka fields of the joint venture of ONGC-RIL-BGEPIL. The scope of the project also includes deployment of piggyback pipeline on the in-field pipeline from an existent PPA host complex. The project scheduled to be completed by 2015 aims to meet the increasing energy demand of India.
Another order, valued at Rs. 300 crore, is bagged by the company in its onshore business segment from a refinery major in the country for construction.
