ITC Q3 net profits rise to Rs 2385 crores; stock trades flat

Hotels to tobacco major ITC, saw its net profits rise to Rs 2385 crores for the 3rd quarter ending Dec 31, 2013, as against Rs 2051 crores in the corresponding period of last year.

Gross sales at the company rose to Rs 12,223 crores for the period ending Dec 31, 2013, as against Rs 10,824 crores in the corresponding period of last year.

The shares of the company were trading marginally lower at Rs 325 on the National Stock Exchange, almost little changed over Thursday's close.

The results did not surprise and were largely in line with expectations.
