Shares of Maruti Suzuki Ltd. fell nearly 1 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on reports that the auto major may be contemplating to recall of nearly 1-lakh Swift and DZire second generation models on faulty fuel pipes.
The shares of company fell as much as 0.66 per cent to trade at Rs 1891.35 a piece on the BSE. In a similar fashion, shares of the company fell 0.59 per cent to Rs 1893.70 a piece on National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 22,427.36, up 83.94 points or 0.38 per cent at 10:42 hours.
