RIL gains nearly 2% after Oil Ministry returns bank guarantee

Shares of Mukesh Ambani chaired Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) rose nearly 2 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after Oil Ministry s returned a bank guarantee of Rs 509.55 crore submitted by company for gas price hike.

According to media report, Oil Ministry has returned guarantee saying that the new rate has not been announced.

Tracking the news, shares of company gained as much as 1.79 per cent to trade at Rs 945.00 a piece on the BSE.

In a similar fashion, shares of the company advanced 1.54 per cent to Rs 942.40 a piece on National Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 22,510.08, up 106.19 points or 0.47 per cent at 9:40 hours.
