Shares of Atul Limited rose over 9 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after reporting an over two-fold jump in standalone net profit at Rs 51.56 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014 (Q4FY14), on back of higher sales. Lalbhai Group agrochemicals firm had profit of Rs 21.44 crore in the same quarter year ago.
The shares of company rose as much as 9.02 per cent to trade at Rs 712.25 a piece on the BSE.
However, shares of the company rose 9.22 per cent to Rs 710.50 a piece on National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 22,554.59, up 109.47 points or 0.49 per cent at 10.33 hours.
