Shares of FMCG major Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care (P&G) rallied over 7 per cent, hitting 52-week high, in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after company reported strong set third quarter numbers ended March 2014.
The company has posted 55 per cent year-on-year (yoy) growth in net profit at Rs 80.76 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014 (Q3) on the back of higher sales.
Buoyed by earnings, shares of company gained as much as 7.02 per cent to trade at Rs 3680 a piece on BSE.
In a similar fashion, shares of the company advanced 5.92 per cent to Rs 3,638.15 a piece on National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark Sensex was quoting at 22,370.50, up 46.60 points or 0.21 per cent at 10.25 hours.
