Mid Market-Sensex marginally up, broader market outperform Analysis for Jun 18, 2014

Indian benchmark indices were trading marginally in the green despite mixed Asian cues, amid deepening crisis in Iraq. Reliance industries remained flat ahead of its 40th AGM is underway chaired by Mukesh Ambani. This AGM meet is eyed as pro-business Modi-government is at the Centre. Investors await Mukesh Ambani's speech to know how the largest private refiner in India would like to participate in this economic rebound.At 12:05PM BSE SENSEX was at 25542.45 up by 21.26 points or by 0.08 per cent and NSE Nifty was at 7642.95 up by 11.25 points or by 0.15 per cent.

The BSE MIDCAP was at 9170.6 up by 69.13 points or by 0.76 per cent, while the BSE SMLCAP was at 10002.33 up by 100.77 points or by 1.02 per cent.

The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 25609.28 and intraday low of 25490.56, while the NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 7663 and intraday low of 7620.25.Sensex WatchThe top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Cipla Ltd. The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2235.00,-1.89%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 2561.00,-1.09%), Wipro Ltd. (Rs. 530.40,-1.04%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 839.15,-0.86%) and Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 2145.85,-0.77%).

The top gainers of the NSE Nifty pack were Cipla Ltd. (Rs. 426.25,+3.22%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 966.00,+3.07%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (Rs. 166.35,+2.27%), Sesa Sterlite Ltd. (Rs. 303.00,+1.92%) and UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 2848.00,+1.83%).

The top losers of the NSE Nifty pack were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2235.60,-1.94%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 2558.85,-1.26%), Wipro Ltd. (Rs. 530.00,-1.14%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 839.55,-0.83%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 644.55,-0.81%).
