Markets remained under pressure amid weak cues from the global peers, with the Sensex down over 100 points and the Nifty below 33 points. Asian markets were trading lower tracking overnight losses on Wall Street. The benchmark Nikkei was marginally up, while Shanghai Composite and Hang seng were trading lower. Straits Times was trading 0.15 per cent down. Further, the caution may persist ahead of IIP and CPI data due later this week which will offer further cues over the health of Asia"s third biggest economy.At 10:27AM BSE SENSEX was at 27158.62, down by 106.7 points or by 0.39 per cent, while NSE Nifty was at 8119.3, down by 33.65 points or by 0.41 per cent.

The BSE MIDCAP was at 9876.79, up by 33.42 points or by 0.34 per cent, while the BSE SMLCAP was at 10951.22, up by 65.24 points or by 0.6 per cent.

The BSE Sensex touched an intraday high of 27251.44 and an intraday low of 27107.42, while the NSE Nifty touched an intraday high of 8135.75 and an intraday low of 8105.75.The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Power Company Ltd. (Rs. 90.60,+2.37%), Cipla Ltd. (Rs. 581.50,+1.10%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (Rs. 174.25,+1.07%), GAIL (India) Ltd. (Rs. 462.40,+0.95%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 409.85,+0.94%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 3675.00,-1.65%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1384.20,-1.45%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 2717.75,-1.15%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 1591.85,-0.94%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 354.35,-0.92%), among others.

Among the sectors, In BSE, BSE Realty index was at 1770.23 up by 10.95 points or by 0.62%. Anant Raj Ltd. (Rs. 56.95,+2.61%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 437.00,+1.66%), D B Realty Ltd. (Rs. 76.25,+1.33%), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd. (Rs. 69.40,+1.31%), Unitech Ltd. (Rs. 22.90,+1.10%),.

On the flip side, In BSE, BSE Oil&Gas index was at 11548.07 down by -56.35 points or by -0.49%. Cairn India Ltd. (Rs. 338.85,-0.88%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1024.25,-0.88%), Oil India Ltd. (Rs. 653.80,-0.87%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 689.75,-0.34%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 447.90,-0.21%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was positive. On BSE out of total 2405 shares traded, 1439 shares advanced, 873 shares declined while 93 remained unchanged.
