Shares Jet Airways fell over 1 per cent in early trade on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after a surge in global crude prices. Brent crude oil prices shot up nearly 6 per cent on Thursday after Saudi Arabia and its Gulf Arab allies began a military operation in Yemen.
Reacting to the news, shares of company dropped as much as 1.04 per cent in intra-day trade to Rs 453.55 apiece on the BSE.
In a similar trend, shares of the company dipped as much as 1.09 per cent to Rs 453.55 a piece on National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 27,843, down 268.52 points, or 0.94 per cent, at 11:30 hours.
