The Sensex ended the trade at 26220.95 up by 66.12  points or by 0.25 per cent while the NSE Nifty at 7950.90, marginally up by 2.00 points or 0.03 per cent.

On the global front, European markets were trading firm with CAC, DAX and FTSE trading with a green. The Chinese markets were closed for a holiday.

IDFC

IDFC Ltd today began trading as a stand-alone entity as part of the demerger scheme, reports PTI.

The stock ended the day at Rs 60.80, lower by 56.97 per cent on BSE. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 59.70 during the trade.

Suven Life Sciences

Suven Life Sciences Ltd announced today that the company received the 3 patents from New Zealand, Singapore and one product patent from USA.

The stock ended the day at Rs 287, higher by 7.3 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high Rs 292.95 during the trade.

Kalpataru Power Transmission

Kalpataru Power Transmission informed that the company has received new orders of over Rs. 781 Crore.

The stock ended the day at Rs 266, higher by 4.78 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high Rs 269 during the trade.

HCL Tech

HCL Tech which fell a huge 11 per cent after the company said that revenues would be tepid for the quarter ending June 30 and there would be some currency impact.

The stock ended the day at Rs 862, lower by 12.23 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low Rs 837 during the trade.

L&T

Shares in L&T ended the day higher after reports that the company had sold its Chandigarh commercial real estate project for Rs 1785 crore to Carnival.

The stock ended the day at Rs 1487, higher by 1.42 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high Rs 1492 during the trade.
