The key domestic benchmark indices ended the day on flat note. The sensex ended the day at 27287.66 down by 19.17 points or by -0.07 per cent, while the NSE Nifty was at 8251.70 points, lower by 9.95  points or by -0.12 per cent. 

On the global front, Asian peers ended the day on a mixed. while, US stocks closed slightly lower.

HDFC Bank

HDFC Bank reported a superb set of quarterly numbers with the net porfit growing to Rs Rs 2,870 cr as against Rs 2,382 crores (YoY)

The stock ended the day at Rs 1093, lower by 0.18 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high Rs 1103 and low of Rs 1085 during the trade.

Federal Bank

Shares in Federal Bank fell a huge 15 per cent after its net profits plunged. The shares were last trading at Rs 57, after dropping to a 52-week low of Rs 55 on the National Stock Exchange.

The stock ended the day at Rs 57.70, lower by 11.77 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday low Rs 55.80 during the trade.

Bajaj Auto

Bajaj Auto on Wednesday reported an exponential rise of 58 percent in its net profit for the second quarter of the current fiscal.

The company's net profit for the second quarter of the current fiscal stood at Rs.933.06 crore from Rs.590.90 crore registered during the corresponding period of last fiscal, reports PTI.

The stock ended the day at Rs 2519, higher by 3.33 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high Rs 2535 during the trade.

Reliance capital

Reliance Capital Asset Management (RCAM) today announced takeover of global giant Goldman Sachs' mutual fund business in India for Rs 243 crore in an all-cash deal as yet another foreign player exits the Rs 13 lakh crore Indian MF market.

The stock ended the day at Rs 413, higher by 3.61 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high Rs 416 during the trade.

Mphasis

Mphasis reported a 15.30 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 184.72 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015.

The stock ended the day at Rs 453.95, higher by 8.57 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high and 52 week high at Rs 475 during the trade.

Biocon

Biocon on Tuesday reported consolidated net profit at Rs 306 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015.

The stock ended the day at Rs 452, lower by 1.05 per cent on BSE. It touched an intraday high Rs 465 and low of Rs 451 during the trade.
